Copywriting Tips - 11th August 2010

Today's blog is yet another simple list of three tips you should consider when writing optimised web copy:

          1.       Always do your keyword research first - knowing what keywords you want to target and use before you start writing is vital, as you don't want to be trying to squeeze them in at a later date.
          2.       Target the user first - concentrate on making your web copy read well first. As you are writing, attempt to fit the keyword in a few times - but only if it's possible; never cram them in!
          3.       Optimised web copy should never be longer than 400 words! An online user will get bored with a long page, so ensure you stick to around 2-300 words per page.
