New Copywriting Tips Just For You

The main point about writing good copy is that it cannot be too long, but it can certainly be too boring. You should be writing your copy for your intended audience, not for yourself, and so it should be catered to them, being light, easy to read and compelling. The average reader does not want to be bogged down reading complicated, text-heavy and frankly dull copy. Let's consider some copywriting tips, these are beauties...

·         Do not use ridiculously long sentences in your text, but vary between short and longer sentences to give your writing rhythm. It is also wise to split long sentences up if they are able to survive on their own, or use connecting words such as 'so' or 'because'.

·         Get rid of any unnecessary words or 'waffle'. Your writing should add value but not simply serve to make up your word count.

·         Try to avoid using complicated language. It might sound impressive  but is pointless if it only confuses your readers. Ditch the jargon and claptrap.
